Sensory experience workshop in Cantonments, Accra

Sensory Play Ghana

What makes your place unique?

At our Workshops we use organic everyday food items combined with loose parts, various animal figurines and other accessories to create the ultimate sensory experience for your little one. We provide an outdoor space for parents/caregivers and children to nurture their bond through play all while being one with nature. At our workshops we strive to foster independence while building connection.
We keep our workshops intimate by limiting the number of kids to 10 to ensure that the kids are not overstimulated/overwhelmed and To give parents/caregivers the chance to network and meet other like minded parents.

What is your favourite spot you like to go with your family?

We love going out to eat as a family because we are all foodies. Our favourite restaurants are Rockefellas and Kukun. But if I had to choose one place it would be the beach. It is so relaxing and peaceful and we all have a tremendous amount of fun. We love going to Laboma Beach.

What was your biggest struggle you had as a parent?

Why are we asking this question? Having kids is always portrayed as something "beautiful" but we all know it's not easy to raise a child. We want to show other parents that we all struggle from time to time and that it's ok.

As a mum with ADHD I was deeply overwhelmed with the demands of parenting and struggling to meet my needs as well as my family's needs. However with the help and support of my family, friends and of course my therapist I have managed to create routines that work out well for all of us. I think the one practical thing that has literally saved me is having a white board in my kitchen where I write down all the important things like meal schedules, appointments and work deadlines etc and this has made a huge difference in my life.
